Illegal Music Downloading Getting Common

According to the British Music Rights' poll nearly 96 per cent of the 14-24 year old teenagers admit to illegaly copying music. So it's clear that illegal music downloading is getting very common.

Why do people prefer to rip them instead of buying the original albums? One of the reasons is that people find all music for free and considering the prices of albums it's not possible -for especially young people who have a limited budget- to buy all albums. You can download an album, and basically if you don't like, you delete it. But you woudn't pay for an original album that you may not like. So why would you waste your money to an album that you won't listen?

Most of the people -musicians, songwriters etc.- in the music industry say that industry is "dead" because of the illegal music downloading. Is that the whole reason? What about the music? If you make quality music people who download them will also buy your albums and they will come to your concerts. You will earn from ticket sales. If your work is all crap, people won't buy it and they won't listen it. That's the truth.

Stolen Viva La Vida

Nowadays the big subject is if Coldplay's new song Viva La Vida is stolen. Firstly Coldplay was accused of stealing Viva La Vida melody. An American band implied that Coldplay copied one of their songs. And then, Coldplay told that they haven't copied the song.

We all know that some melodies, songs can be similar. The difference between similarity and copy is so important. So before making the right decision that must be kept in mind. On the other hand, Coldplay's a well-known band and make great albums. Who knows the other American band? What if they are trying to take attention?

So there're two opposite sights. And we'll see who's the right sight in the following days.
